Partner, Joseph B. Rizzo, recovered $1,550,000 for the victim of a construction site accident.  G&I client, Tomasz Basamon, sustained severe personal injuries when the roof upon which he was working collapsed causing him to fall 15 feet to the ground.  Mr. Basamon's claims were settled with the liability insurance carriers for the general contractor and the masonry subcontractor on the site.  "We were able to convince the carriers that a fair disposition of our client's claims could be reached through formal mediation rather than by way of a lawsuit," said Rizzo.  The carrier representatives agreed and the matter was settled without resort to litigation after weeks of negotiations.  "This money will help a young family get back on its feet and help Tom overcome future obstacles as he learns to live with his permanent injuries," said Rizzo.
